The nature reserve is owned by Liverpool City Council but in practice the day to day care falls to the Friends of Childwall Woods & Fields. An active voluntary group, the Friends have been established over 30 years and are in the process of becoming a charity to make even more efficient use of your money.
Looking after Childwall Woods and Fields, keeping the paths open, enhancing habitats, removing invading species such as Japanese knotweed and Himalayan balsam, all these require money, time – and hard work.
Your support really encourages our dedicated volunteers who do this work.
